A guide told us that in ancient times, this used to be a school where kids were taught. It is located a top a hill. And from there you get a birds eye view of the whole of Srinagar. You can also see the expanses of the Dal Lake against the backdrop of several mountain ranges. Which looks very beautiful. Dinner

Last but not the least, don’t forget to end your day with a lavish dinner before you head back to your accommodation to relax. While on our own 9 days trip to Kashmir, we stayed in a hotel opposite to Ghat No 2 of Dal Lake. The hotel was Walisons Hotel, Srinagar. Right opposite Gate No 2, the main road on either side is dotted with several nice restaurants. We explored a few of them while we were there. And no matter where it was a “dhaba” or a top notch restaurant, we were never disappointed with the food. Depending on where you are staying, you can have dinner on your way back from the Shikara to the hotel. With that, we come to the end of our one day in Srinagar exploring several places to visit in Srinagar.
