For past few years, Goa has been our go to place for vacations. We worked from Goa during the pandemic, staying at Biera Mar Beach Resort in Benaulim. During this workcation, we did a trip of North Goa from South Goa. And also explored Gokarna for a day. Plus stayed in a beach hut in Palolem – one of the most beautiful beaches in South Goa. And did a heritage walk through Fontainhas in Panjim. Come the next year and we again planned another vacation in Goa. This time, spending a few days in North Goa before heading to the Agonda beach in South Goa – the beach which is the most beautiful among all beaches in Goa. While in North Goa, we visited the Chapora Fort, explored few beaches further up, spent an evening in Anjuna beach and also explored the Anjuna Flea Market.
Fast forward to January 2023. We were thinking hard to zero down on a place for the 26th Jan long weekend vacation. And guess what? We landed in Goa once again. This time, experiencing a stay in an airbnb, exploring the pristine Arambol beach and discovering a new cafe – Artjuna Goa. And hence, Goa proved to us, it still has a lot more in offer, inspite of us having done a comprehensive travel through it’s beaches as well as experienced a lot of things beyond the beaches of Goa on our past trips.
The recent trip was laid back, a very impromptu one. So, we didnt have a plan in general. While staying in our airbnb in Calangute, one evening we decided to explore some cafe in the neighbourhood for our next day morning breakfast. While I was browsing through the cafes of Goa, Artjuna photos immediately caught my attention. Next, I checked the Artjuna menu and read up a little about the place. Artijuna reviews were really strong. Plus the overall vibe of the place was so inviting. And that was it!! We headed there the next morning for breakfast. And explored the place. So, let me take you on a virtual tour with me on this new gem we discovered in Goa this time.

The Story of Artjuna
Artjuna Cafe, better known as “Artjuna Garden Café and Lifestyle Shop” is a creation of a couple Moshe and Anastasia. Initially it started as a vision of a place where the couple could exhibit their art collection that they had accumulated over a period of time. The collection was so fine that it soon started gaining popularity. And thus what slowly developed was a community of artisans. Who worked on fine products. With the couple themselves looking over each step of the process from conception, design to production. And every item at display in their boutique shop is handmade with lots of love!

Our Breakfast experience at Artjuna Cafe and Restaurant Goa
We started from our airbnb villa in Calangute for Artjuna Cafe around 8:00am. Having had a bitter experience on our 4 days trip to Pondicherry where most of the sought after cafes of Pondicherry were overly crowded, we thought better we are not late to find a table here. We reached Artjuna by 8:30am. The roads to Artjuna Cafe in Anjuna are beautiful and winding through the hilly slopes and at times alongside the vast stretch of green fields. Most of the Goa seemed to be still asleep. So, the roads were more or less empty.
We parked our vehicle in the grounds opposite the cafe which are designated for Artjuna Parking and headed inside. To our delight, the place was not crowded at all.
Soon we were screening the menu for breakfast. It was really a pain to select just a few dishes from the kind of spread that they have. Nevertheless, I finally settled for a chocolate croissant and a hot honey-lemon-ginger drink. And ordered a plain omelette for Ishi. While Aashi decided on trying a waffle loaded with fresh fruits and cream, drizzled with honey. Abhishek settled for a healthy green omelette sandwich and a coffee. Within next 10 minutes, all our dishes were served. And we enjoyed our breakfast to our heart’s content.
After breakfast, we roamed around the campus to checkout the other offerings at hand in the cafe. Here’s a glimpse of the same –
Thereafter, we headed back. Although as I drove back to my airbnb, I was already feeling tempted to return back here. Definitely going to do the same on my next visit.
The Airbnb Villa at Artjuna
After having breakfast, as I was heading out of Artjuna cafe, a pamphlet caught my attention. Which displayed a beautiful Greek style white villa and a glimmering turquoise blue swimming pool in front of it – the Artjuna Villa. Seems Artjuna villa is available to be booked via airbnb, booking.com and all other major booking platforms. It can be booked for both long and short term stay. Also, it is a 2 bhk villa. And it has staff for servicing as well as breakfast included in the deal. I am surely looking forward to stay here on my next visit to Goa!!
